Staging our final Other Ranks performance to a full house at Hull Truck Theatre for Hull Jazz Festival was a huge pleasure. We plan to document the work with a published version of John Robinson’s script and a studio recording of excerpts of the show. No doubt the BBC will snap this up for a radio play.
The First World War commemorations are over, and I raise a glass to my own Grandad, recalling his stories of serving and suffering in the Field Horse Artillery.
Snowboy & The Latin Section played a storm at both the Junction in Cambridge and the The CLF Art Cafe in Peckham. Despite not having played together since last year’s tour, the band seemed stronger than ever. More dates are being planned for next year.
Poetry news: as heralded in Trombonicle 24, a batch of new poems can now be found on a new site. These poems were written in response to a series of fascinating events organised by Tickbird & Rhino, Last month, new poems were announced as appearing on a social housing blog run by the Residents’ Forum for residents of Hexagon Housing Association.
