Trombonicle 38 / niche

Rotherhithe Voices 19 at Deli Felice had the theme of  Illumination, so trombone poetry offered a set of poems such as Bring Me Sunshine, Flashback, Light Work and Seeing Things, together with original tunes, Sunny Intervals and the old wake-up call, Cock O’Morocco.

That curious trio, Click Beetle has now found a fortnightly niche in Lower Marsh, in the basement of the glorious Scooter Caffè, which is enabling the music to develop and flourish. New tunes are being added every time, and a printed programme is offered, with space for your spontaneous artwork.

As heralded last month, the Other Ranks project has now produced a book with a CD. Details are on the Other Ranks page. We hope to have more news about launch gigs soon. Anyone with a spare launch – please get in touch.

No trombone poetry adventures booked for February, but somewhere in deepest Rotherhithe, a book of poems is in the works.
