Trombonicle 57 / hither & heather

Trombone Poetry at Rotherhithe Voices in Deli FeliceAlison Clayburn’s Rotherhithe Voices at Deli Felice had the theme of blooming, inciting various efflorescences from local pens and someone who may have escaped from one. Floral tributes included Benchmarks and In The Thick Of It, causing the usual stampede for copies of Better Late Than Sorry.

The Yiddish Twist Orchestra mounted an expedition to the wild and wonderful Knockengorroch Festival in Galloway, where we were welcomed by hundreds of sun-baked folk fans and about a million midges.

The Roberta Pla Latin Jazz Ensemble finished its amazing four-week stint on the baking tray at the CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden in Peckham. We hope to be back later in the year.

On the publishing front, Redriff Press now has a blog to add to its social media outposts. This is bound to boost the throughput of the upshot, if not the upturn of the outreach, or vice versa.
