It was a great month for Latin Jazz, in quality if not quantity, with a much-needed gig with Snowboy & The Latin Section at the Grote Markt in Leuven, Belgium, for Het Groot Verlof. Lovely hospitality, as expected, with the band blazing away as always.

Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival was a treat too: very hospitable to boot, with one backstage item rarely offered at our gigs.
Not usually that many hooligans in St Mary’s Church either, I would imagine.
Snowboy is putting on a special gig this month to perform all the numbers from the old Something’s Coming album.
Roberto Pla Latin Ensemble played, all too briefly, at the Carnaval del Pueblo in Burgess Park, where it should always be. The band can be hear to better effect later this month (see below).
