After years of toil and trekking around, mostly concentrated into the last few weeks, a new book is ready to be flung out into an uncaring world.
Kneptune was written to celebrate 20 years’ residence in Rotherhithe and somehow involved visiting 40 pubs within a radius of one nautical mile. It’s all explained and justified in the book.
New poetic forms are launched: the Climber, the Condode, the Kneptune, the Tankard and the Kafkard. These are bound to catch on, in the nicest kind of viral way, leading to people around the globe scribbling their own poems, especially in the last two forms.
There are also dozens of photographs in this handy pocket paperback, often depicting sights and sites no longer visible.
There’ll be an informal Book Party on the 22nd March at Deli Felice. Drinks available, and signed copies, of course. See below.
