Trombonicle 92 / fauna

Naturally, we try to nail up a few images round here, to brighten the place up.

Recently, these have been quite rural and botanical, so it seemed a good idea to switch focus onto the urban, even the zoological.

A tropical expedition into Hackney proved very fruitful.

Further exploration is obviously well worth plotting.

More documentation below, after a brief detour.

Last month the tankard was mentioned (5-7-5-7-8 syllables, pub poem) and a trip to the Midlands yielded a kind of dialect poem in that format, which I offer here for your consideration. It is not expected that this sub-genre will become a global obsession, but it may have some potential.

Hackney wildlife, Part 2.

While we’re on the subject of urban wildlife, there shouldn’t be any shortage of that on the afternoon of Sunday 21st of June, when you are invited to take a walk in the park.

There’ll  be a rare outdoor Trombone Poetry performance at the Bermondsey and Beyond Literary Festival, in Southwark Park. It will be somewhere near the Pavilion Café, which overlooks the lake.

This will be a perfect picnic opportunity, with or without waders.

You may need a drink.
