chronicle: December 2012

At the “oh come and sit in all ye faithful” Christmas Curry Jazz Special in Mycenae House, only a couple of poems were squeezed in, like the helpings of excellent curry, but Barbara Snow’s singing of Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered made everything alright. Vince Clarke on drums made everything swing too.

Some kind of chronicular glitch meant that the return visit to Sweet Thursday, in Richmond, a fortnight ago, was only announced on Twitter (@trombonepoetry) and not here. A new Fitzrovian souvenir, Out/About, was recited, and Keith Jarrett’s set was outstanding.

There may not be many trombone poetry dates in February, due to a UK tour with the Yiddish Twist Orchestra, but a new poetry book will emerge from it all, not to mention a new YTO album.
