Without any doubt, the highlight of last month was a Friday night at Ronnie Scott’s with Snowboy & The Latin Section, where we managed to crank out two shows, with no apparent injuries. We live in hope that we can sell out a few more nights there before too long.
This month we’ll have a few more trips to the seaside and some bewildering events in South London.
A Bigger MOUTH will be trying to fit into a record shop in Camberwell to brandish not only the Freedom Pass CD but also the long-awaited Band Stand Special Edition Vinyl.
There’ll be a Deptford thing – some kind of deranged cabaret with Trombone Poetry and Rev. Max Ripple (Deaf School) plus various minstrels.
Meanwhile, work continues apace to revamp the ways and means of Trombone Poetry while plotting and scribbling for the next book from Redriff Press.
A handful of very diverse books is in preparation but it’s not clear yet which will emerge first. There may even be a book of tunes.
Can you excite your containment?
